Knitting

Swallowtail Scarf

My first lace shawl/scarf is blocking as we speak.  I’ve been wanting to knit a lace scarf for a really long time, but I just didn’t think I had the courage or the skill until this month.  And thanks to the great Swallowtail Support KAL group on Ravelry, I did it! There were a few anxieties, tantrums and plenty of ripping and tinking.  But I learned soooo much and I am so hooked on lace.  It’s blocked out to be a scarf size — just what I wanted.  I bought the yarn on vacation last year at the Smokey Mountain Spinnery in Gatlinburg.  I’ll post another picture when it’s dry to show the real color variation.  It’s beautiful.
