Well, the knitting has been going well over the last few days.
One of the things that drew me to the Cobblestone Pullover was the lack of seaming. I’m not a big fan of seaming. The sleeves are joined to the body of the sweater at the yoke. And the yoke is shaped through a series of short rows and decrease rows. Here’s my progress so far. I’m really liking the way this is working out. After the sweater is finished, those little gaps under the arm are joined with kitchener stitch.
Now my goal was to work only on this sweater and have it finished by the end of August. That lasted one day. 🙂 I’m just not a monogamous knitter. I try, but I just can’t do it.
I need to have a traveling project to take in the car, to the doctor’s office, to visit with my mom. And it needs to be something pretty simple. So because of an unscheduled run to the doctor on Friday, I’ve almost finished the first of the Two-Needle Slippers. I gave a couple of these to DH and T for Christmas last year. This one’s mine. 🙂
Cell Phone Cozy
And, while I wait for the results on the vote for Septermber’s KAL in the Beginning Lace Knitters Group on Ravelry, I started a cell phone cozy. For me, too. 😉 I’m not sure how these two are really related, but it was the reasoning I used when I started the cozy, and I’m going to stick with it.
It’s been a busy few days.
Enjoy your weekend!
