No Yarn Yet

I’m rather surprised at how little patience I’ve had waiting for the online yarn order to arrive.  Yesterday, when no package was delivered, I wanted to run down the street after the mail truck and ask the carrier to check one more time to be sure he hadn’t overlooked my package.  Now don’t worry; I wouldn’t have done it.  But the fact that I even had the thought was a little bothersome.  I love new yarn and projects, but at somewhere recently I’ve reached a whole new level of “interest”.  Hmmmm  😉

So, I’ve turned back to new and old projects while I wait.

Had DH try on the pullover last night for a size check.  He’s please so far.  I’m wondering if it will stretch out some.  Just a bit more and it will be finished.

100_2303Made a trip to the craft store and picked up a few things.  I didn’t spend near the amount of time I wanted.  DH dropped me off and went to the doctor for his checkup.  They took him in early.  I guess they didn’t realize I was counting on a longer wait.  Anyway, I picked up a few odds and ends, some to go along with part of my September Plan.

• I found the cutest little charms that say “made with love” to string with beads and attach to Christmas gifts.

Windmill Knitting Bag

• The wooden upholstery button has made a great closure on my favorite knitting bag.  This is the Windmill Bag by Danielle LaFramboise, finished last May.  The yarn is cotton I picked up last spring on a trip to MO (Cabin Fever Cotton Tweed DK), really soft and easy to work with.  More details are here on Ravelry.

The last little purchase is a needlepoint, zippered case.  One of my September goals was to start back up on stitching.  I used to do a lot of cross stitch years ago.  I started on the case last night and had a hard time putting it down.  I’d forgotten how much I enjoy stitching.

Took the dog for a walk to the park after lunch.  It’s just beautiful outside today.

Hope you’re having a great day too!
