On the way home from town, just as you pass under the train bridge, you see this . . .
. . . a field of sunflowers. I look forward to driving down the road, just to see the mounds of green plants change as each flower head turns yellow and brown. It’s impossible to drive by without smiling. Lately, there have been several folks pulled over on the side of the road to take pictures. Just like I did on this day. 🙂
These pictures were taken a week or so ago and the blooms are just starting to fade a bit now. A sure sign that fall is just around the corner.
And speaking of sunflowers — and ladybugs . . .
. . . the needlepoint case is finished. Fun!! It’s going to hold all my knitting accessories — sticky notes, pencil, tape measure, scissors, lifeline needle and stitch markers. It’s already packed and in the knitting bag. Just waiting for the next “on-the-go” project.
I’m planning the next stitching project now. Maybe fall leaves on a bookmark. More later.
