What a beautiful weekend! Sunny days, crisp fall temperatures, chilly nights — just beautiful. I may have mentioned (many times) how much I love autumn. Several festivals, craft fairs in the area this weekend and I wasn’t able to take advantage of any of them. Oh well . . . .
Finished Home to Holly Springs by Jan Karon on Friday. I always enjoy her books and Father Tim is a favorite character. Next up is The Sweetgum Knit Lit Society by Beth Pattillo. Fiction about a literature/knitting group — what could be better. Picked it up at the bookstore on Saturday. I’m so pleased that I found the FIR Challenge. It’s just the motivation I need to pick up a book and read more often.
I’m coming down the home stretch on the Gail/Nightsongs shawl and really concerned about whether there will be enough yarn. Just in case, I stopped after 6 repeats and started the edging chart this weekend. I’d love to get this finished and blocked this week so I could wear it while the weather is cool. That may be optimistic. We’ll just have to see.
Today I’m starting a new part-time job. I’ve become quite satisfied with my “leisure” mornings. This may be tough for a few days. But I’ll be home in the afternoons with DH and that’s a good thing.
One last drink of tea and I’m off.
Enjoy your day!
