Well, retirement didn’t last long for me. I decided to take a part-time job about two weeks ago — back with the same school district but in a very different kind of position. My schedule is pretty much the same as DH’s so we still have a lot of time off together. So far I’m really enjoying myself.
Each year just before school would start, I would make a notebook for the year’s notes and “to-do” lists. It was really helpful to keep everything in one place and easy to refer back to past projects, etc. This job has a lot of to-do’s 🙂 so I decided to keep with tradition. I like steno books because the pages are divided into two columns. Layering scrapbook papers, stickers, tags, brads — I love to embellish notebooks. It’s a great way to use up scrapbooking “scraps”. And a fun way to add the personal touch to all those lists I tend to make. (One year for Christmas, I made embellished all types and sizes of notebooks for friends and co-workers. They were such a hit, that folks were requesting them the next year.)
The new job is wrecking havoc with my knitting/stitching/blogging time. It’s also taking away from time to do the housework, but I’m not so much bothered by that 🙂
I have been knitting and have picked a new cross-stitch pattern. I’ll have a UFO project update soon.
Have a great autumn day!
