Stitching

Welcome to March

The second day of March already!  I’m always surprised at how quickly time passes in the short month of February.

It’s the first week of the month and time for the Christmas Design SAL.  I’ll be spending most of my time this week working on the Christmas Patchwork again.  I really like the design but never seem to get as far along as I want.  Can’t wait to check on everyone’s progress.  I’ll post a picture of March’s progress at the end of the week.

I was able to finish stitching the little March Shamrock.  It’s a free download from Rainbow Gallery.  I found the color blocks satisfying.  Stitched on 38ct Jobelan, I substituted DMC colors to suit me.  The pattern calls for a gold shamrock charm in the right corner; I added a little swirl charm instead and really like the sparkle it adds.  I think I’ll finish it as a little pillow ornament once I find a good backing fabric.

I’ve also made some progress on Garden Welcome.  Lots of color changes on this one.  The fabric is so, so stiff.  Not a fan of that at all.

Well … I’ll be doing a little stitching now until it’s time to go check on my mom.

Enjoy the rest of your day!  And thank you so much for stopping to visit.

  1. Your shamrock block is so cute! St. Patty’s day is one of my favorite holidays. Partly because I am of Irish descent and partly because I love leprauchons (LOL)!
