Spring Reading Thing – April Update

The Spring Reading Thing 2010, sponsored by Katrina at Callapidder Days, started one month ago.  Well I’ve been reading but not too much finishing.  My list is here.

Comfort Food by Kate Jacobs was in progress when the SRT started.  I’ve enjoyed her books and wasn’t disappointed by this one.

I’ve started Thirteen Moons by Charles Frazier.  It’s on the shelf with The Time Traveler’s Wife, another book started but not finished.  I definitely plan to finish these but not just now.

That brings me to what I’m reading and listening to now.

Currently reading . . .

and enjoying it very much.  It’s a quick and easy read.  I’m envious of Jo’s diplomacy and patience and courage to make such big changes.  (Sorry, I know that’s pretty vague.  But I don’t want to spoil anything for you.)  I’m just about half-way through and haven’t made a connection between the title and the story – hmmmmmm.  I’m hoping to finish this up by next weekend.

Currently listening to . . .

I’ve downloaded the book from Librivox.  It’s a great story and I really enjoy the reader, perfect to listen to while I knit or cross-stitch.  I try to get at least one or two chapters each night that I’m able to knit or stitch.  This will be a long-term kind of read.

.

DH has been suggesting The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein for quite a while now, so I’m adding it to the list.

Well … there you have it!  This would have been posted an hour ago if I could keep myself from “fiddling” with the pictures   🙂

What are you reading right now?  Anything that I should add to my list?

Thanks for visiting today!

  1. I have read all of Kate Jacobs’ books and have enjoyed them all as well! 🙂 I am currently reading Fannie Flagg’s about the Rainbow…I can’t remember the exact title right now. I love her books too. Easy reads with a good moral basis and some humor thrown in for good measure.
