Wow! Two posts in one day — rare, very rare 🙂
If you’re looking for the Dogs on Thursday post, just scroll down. I published that one early this morning.
Life got in the way yesterday and I never got to the Day 3 post about great knitters that have influenced us. I have to say that much of my inspiration comes from the folks on Ravelry. Such a wonderful community of knowledgeable, generous and talented knitters/crocheters.
I was able to read several entries from other folks last night. And I have a whole new list of designers and blogs to check out.
And now, to get back on track for Day 4 …
A New Skill
Is there a skill related to your hobby that you hope to learn one day? maybe you’re a crocheter who’d also like to knit? Maybe you’d like to learn to knit continental, knit backwards, try cables or attempt stranded colourwork.
I mentioned my lace journey on Day 2 and my desire to move to lace weight yarn and revisit nupps. Each pattern adds something new. I have much to learn.
There are three other skills/techniques I’d like to try out. At least once … but then I’ve said that before. 🙂
Entrelac is high on the list. And then I’ll apply that to lace, of course. Diana is a beautiful shawl in my queue, just waiting for me to learn what I need to get started.
Sometime soon, I’m planning a journey into colorwork. I attempted a child’s sweater once that was just so frustrating and never finished. And maybe if I get it figured out, I’ll make one of these. I don’t need it, but I want it.
And lately, tapestry crochet has really caught my eye.
Who knows what I’ll add to my list after I check some other KnitCroBlo folks. So many journeys ahead!
