Revisiting a Past Project – K&CBW – Day 6

Revisiting a Past Finished Project

Bring the fortune and life of a past finished project up to the present. Document the current state and use of an object you have knitted or crocheted …

This cardigan represents many firsts.

~ First crochet project other than a scarf or granny square.

~ First yarn purchased at a LYS.

~ First non-acrylic yarn.

~ First time to seam, set in sleeves, sew on pockets.

~ First color work, carrying the strands across the back.

And a very special first …

~ First gift given to my husband for our first Christmas together, 35 years ago.

It’s a heavy, warm sweater, soft and well-worn.

It wasn’t hard to find  this morning so I could take a picture.  DH pulled it from its place on the shelf in the wardrobe.  It’s easy to find, because it’s still worn every winter.

Just an quick aside … It just occurred to me … There’s a Cobblestone Pullover for DH that’s on the needles now … DH picked out the yarn, and it’s almost an identical color  🙂
