Dogs on Thursday · Ponderings/Life

Hide and Seek

Sydney loves to play “Hide and Seek” and goes into a real frenzy when she finds her person.  A couple of weeks ago when T was home, he hid in one of the golden rain trees.  Sydney went bouncing out to say hello.  She sniffed the car, looked around, but couldn’t find T.  She was startled when she spotted him in the tree and gave a little yelp.  After some frantic circling and jumping, she persuaded him to come on down.  We thought for a moment there that she just might climb that tree.

  1. Cute! Sidney sure has a lot of personality! The only games MaggieMae likes to play are with her toys or with herself and the wildlife in the yard. But all our wonderful dogs are special, no matter what their quirks are. Have a wonderful day!

    1. Thanks, Rose. We once had a golden retriever that could entertain herself with toys for hours. Sydney prefers to have someone’s attention. 🙂

  2. Nice slide show! You had me fooled for a minute. I saw one photo at first glance, and looked down and T was no longer in the tree. Thought I was losing it! Does that tree have chains of yellow flowers?

    1. Thanks, Judy. I love the slideshow feature when I’m in a hurry. I don’t have to fiddle with frames and sizing on the pictures. The flowers on the golden rain tree are yellow clusters that point upward. I saw the picture of your golden chain tree the other day. Don’t they look similar? They have to be related somehow.

  3. Does she whine when her people are doing things she thinks are wrong? Thor lets out terrible howls; I laughed at your pictures, because I could hear how Thor would protest if he were in poor Sydney’s position!
