Stitching is Finished

Thanks to a bit of a knitting slump, I’ve finished the stitching on some cross-stitch projects.  All I need now is to decide how they’ll be finished.  And then the hard part — getting it done.  I love to stitch, but finish — not so much.

First finished was 4th of July – Quaker Style by Aury.

I’m really fond of this design.  It’s a free download here.  When I was finding the links for this post, I found a new 2010 version here.  I’ll have to stitch that one very soon.  4th of July – Quaker Style is stitched on an unknown fabric leftover, 11 count, in colors that suited me at the time (DMC 816, 824, B5200).

Now to decide on how to finish.  What do think?  Any suggestions?  Do you have a favorite way to finish your projects?

I have another finish to share tomorrow.

Thanks for visiting today!

  1. Hey, that’s pretty neat! I’ve never seen any in that style before. I used to do some counted cross stitch, and plastic canvas too. It’s been a very long time since I have done either. Maybe I need to pick them up again. Altough summertime seems more a time to do outdoor things. I have a hard time sitting in summer. Always feel like I should be “doing” something (as in physical labor). They are good projects for me in winter however. (As well as making jewelry, which I learned a few years ago.) Also, you post reminded me I need to get my 4th of July door decoration out! Thanks!! (Also need to look for a flag and get my son-in-law to put the holder up for me!)

    1. Thanks, Rose! I just love this little pattern. I’m hoping to get it really finished — maybe a little pillow ? — in time to display for the 4th.

    1. Hello, Judy. I just finished my first book and Racing is next on the list. I’ll probably start today. 🙂
