Happy Birthday, U.S.A!
4th of July – Quaker Style
Just finished in time to celebrate Independence Day. This is my first attempt at a small pillow finish. Most of my finishes have been framed in the past. I’ve seen such a variety of projects on so many lovely stitching blogs. I’m inspired to branch out and try some other types of finishes. Fabric and floss specifics are shared here if you want to know more. The back has a sweet little button to mimic the stitching on the other side. The back needs a little something more that may be added later.
Sydney is doing really well … almost her old self. She’s not fond of the loud “sounds of The Fourth” so we’ll be spending the next couple of evenings in the basement with the TV volume turned up.
Oh, and I’ll be trying to finish up the Lacy Baktus. I’ve been working on this in spurts and it’s time to finish it off.
I hope you have a great weekend. And if you’re celebrating The 4th … Enjoy!
