Labor Day Knitting

T needed a new duffel bag and backpack for upcoming travels.  So last week while he and his dad went shopping, I took a quick run through the yarn store.  Well maybe not really a run.  More like a stroll   🙂

As much as I love to do needlework, I don’t go to the yarn store that often.  There’s just way too much temptation.  And we know I can be pretty weak sometimes.  Like this time.

I came away with a small bag of goodies . . . a couple of buttons for cross-stitch projects, a LHN sampler chart (more on those later, and . . .

Jojoland Melody  superwash

It’s fingering weight superwash in color MS26  — Summer in Full Bloom.  But the blue/purple/russet/orange colors spoke more to me of autumn.

I cast on yesterday in the car on our way to visit with family and I have a small start on The Killington Scarf (Ravelry link).

Labor Day — visiting with family and knitting.  Perfect!
