Stitching

Crazy January Challenge 2011

Let the Craziness begin!

The Crazy January Challenge 2011 begins today. This is hosted by Minna @ Ristipistoja.  The rules are simple ~ start 15 new cross-stitch designs, one on each of the first 15 days of January, and try to have them finished by the end of the year.

The designs are chosen, printed, bagged and organized.  And I got a start on #1 this afternoon.  Here’s the progress so far and I’ll probably work a bit more tonight.

I picked up cross-stitch a little over a year ago, after many years off.  So I don’t really have much of a stash.  That’s changing, but very slowly.  I’ve pulled together designs that I’d already kitted up or were on my TO DO list in my stitching journal.

I’m planning to post a picture each day through January 15 to document my start, show progress pictures throughout the year and, if all goes well, I’ll show 15 finished projects before the year ends.

Happy New Year, everyone!  I don’t make resolutions any more.  But I have been pondering on some plans to carry out in this new year.  More on that when I get it all sorted out.  I wish you health and happiness in 2011!

  1. If I could just get 15 letters done on my Christmas SAL, I’d be one happy camper! I do have a big stash though….. but I’m sticking just with the 220 group. That should keep me hopping. Happy New YEar, Janet.
