FO Friday ~ Mystery Medallion Shawl

Mystery Medallion Shawl (by Jen Hansen)
Yarn:  Berroco Ultra Alpaca Fine – Spiceberry Mix (@311 yds)
Needles:  US size 4
Finished Size:  47.5 x 19 inches

This was part of a KAL in the Knitting Like Crazy group on Ravelry.  Four clues were given out once a week starting May 6.  As I started the second clue I found a mistake, ended up frogging the whole thing and started over.  Sometimes starting over is the best thing.  The yarn was very nice to work with.  And Jen’s pattern is really well written.  I LOVE, LOVE this shawl.

There’s a mystery sock KAL starting up in August.  You can read about it here.  I’m pretty sure I’ll be joining in.  ‘Cause I am hooked on mystery knits    🙂

Be sure to check out the projects of folks participating in Tami’s FO Friday.

Have a great weekend!

  1. It’s beautiful, Janet! I have a skein of Berroco Alpaca Fine and have had no clue what to do with it! I figured 1 skein wasn’t enough, but you proved me wrong! I may have to make this beautiful shawl!

    1. Thanks Tami! I really fell in love with this shawl once it was blocked. I like small shawls so I can usually manage on one skein. There was close to 120 yds left with this pattern.

    1. Thank you, Kathleen. The color and size go great with a sundress I bought recently. Love it when that happens. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Judy. I bought the yarn a while back just because of the color and waited until I found a pattern that was just right.
