July TUSAL Update #2

Can you believe that July is almost over?  This month has passed so quickly.

There are two new moons in the month of July — so here’s the second TUSAL update for the month.  The little green cup is holding . . .

. . . red,white and blue threads from July – Festive Fireworks.
. . . blue yarn from a frogged sock start.
. . . purple ends from the lovely Miss Terry shawl.
. . . a white scrap from the Special “1000” Mystery (Advent Scarf).
. . . pieces of blue yarn from the Block-A-Month CAL afghan.

This month’s orts have been dumped into the container.  The little cup is empty and ready for August stitching.

August is just around the corner.  It seems that we’ve already been having hot, humid August weather all this month.  Plants are dry and crispy.

As I was putting the finishing touches on the post, I heard a bit of a rumble and a whoosh outside and guess what?

It was raining!!!  I grabbed the camera — ’cause I was excited     😉

So the dry and crispy plants and grass got a nice soak.  The temperature has dropped a bit.  The sun is shining now and I was hoping for a rainbow but didn’t see one.  I did catch the steam rising from pavement and rolling down the road.  It looked as though someone had a fog machine in front of the house.  I took pictures, but they just look out of focus.

Strange that rain can cause such excitement and a big smile     🙂

I hope you’re having a good day.  Enjoy!
