First — Happy September! August absolutely flew by for me. Lots of things going on, lots of projects and reading, and little blogging. I have a plan to change the blogging slump. But before we get too far into September, I need to finish up a few things to do with August.
Project Spectrum 5 explores a different color for each month, May through November. You can learn more by clicking on the link in the left sidebar.
Pink and Purple was the focus for August and I did pretty well on the fiber front.

I used Cat Bordhi’s video for my first moebius cast-on and improvised a combination of knit, purl and eyelet rows. The yarn was the perfect colors and has a really nice feel. There’s another picture on the Photo Blog. Love it! May have to keep it 🙂
I’m taking a two-at-a-time toe-up sock class with friends at The kNook. The bright pink Cascade Cherub yarn isn’t a typical choice for me, but it was perfect for August and PS5. This is an earlier picture. I’m about half-way through the foot now. Hopefully, two a time will help me avoid any more orphan socks.
When I first started PS5, I decided to crochet squares in each month’s colors. Not sure if they’ll become a pillow, a stool cover, or just stay in the jar. I’m loving the way they look in the Ball jar on the shelf.
So . . . September’s color is yellow. Perfect as we roll into Fall.
Enjoy your first day of September. Keep an eye out for yellow as you go through your day 🙂
