New Socks and Catching Up

Hello there.  Just wanted to do a little catching up today.  I had planned to post early this morning, but the day just got away from me.  Not that I actually accomplished tons of things, but I have been busy.

I’ve been taking a sock class . . . two-at-a-time, toe-up.   This has been a “knit at your own pace” class and each person is at a different place in the process.  It’s been an interesting journey and I’m happy to announce that I finished and was able to show off my socks to the knitting group last night.  I used Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Cast-off for the first time.  Love it!  Cat Bordhi’s video was very helpful.  Other details :: Cascade Yarn’s Cherub DK on size 5 circular needle.  Since these hot pink lovelies were started in August, I’m counting them as a finish for Project Spectrum . . . a little late, but a finish just the same.

Today is also Tuesday’s Tallies for the One A Day project.  Since I spent so much time last week trying to finish the socks, the Greek Meander Afghan didn’t get a lot of attention.  Two more rows were completed, bringing the tally to 12 of the 30 rows needed.  Although it’s slow going, the afghan is definitely seeing more progress this month than in many, many months past.

The rest of this week will be busy, busy, busy.

“The Knitting Game”, a mystery shawl KAL in the Criminal Knits group on Ravelry, starts tomorrow.  My yarn is wound, the needles are ready.  Can’t wait to get started.  I’ll share more soon.

On Friday the Fall Into Reading Challenge starts and I’m still working on my book list.

Well, that’s enough for today.  There’s some laundry that needs to be folded, a couple of rows to add to the afghan, and I’m really behind in blog reading.  Anyone know where I can find a few more hours for today?
