FO Friday ~ Piece of My Heart Socks

Surprise!  Another pair of socks finished this week.

Piece of My Heart Socks by Dee Kissinger
Yarn:  Paton’s Kroy Socks Ragg Shades, brown rose marl
Needles:  2.5 mm, dpns & 40″ circular
CO 1.16.12, BO 2.1.12

I started these on double-pointed needles when the circs were busy and then changed over.  Magic loop is fast becoming my favorite method for socks.  Instructions are provided for the pattern only (Ravelry link) and the knitter can use whatever heel and toe they prefer.  The designer had used an Eye Of Partridge Heel, which was new to me, so I decided to give it a try.  It’s very easy and I really like the look on this sock.  This was a 68 stitch pattern (rather than the 64 sts I usually use) so the leg of the sock is not as snug as my others.  I decreased the four extra stitches when I got to the foot for a better fit there.  I love the colors of the Ragg Shades yarn.  And this is definitely my favorite so far.  Such pretty shades of pink, rose, tan and brown.  Perfect pattern and perfect colors for the Valentine month.

I’m linking up with Tami’s FO Friday and hope you’ll go take a look at all the pretty projects folks have finished this week too.

Phew!  This week seems to have moved along so quickly.  Hard to believe it’s Friday already.  It’s been lovely here with some very bright, warm days.  Yesterday afternoon I actually sat on the deck for a while.  But it looks like lots of rain is on its way for the weekend.  I might have to stay inside and cast on . . . wait for it . . . another pair of socks      😉          What are your weekend plans?

I always appreciate your visits and comments.  Have a great weekend!
