FO Friday ~ Hedgerow Socks

Happy Friday!  These socks were finished weeks ago but I never got around to showing them off.

Hedgerow Socks by Jane Cochran
Yarn:  Knit Picks Stroll Fingering, basalt heather
Needles:  2.5 mm, 40″ circular
CO 2.4.12, BO 2.20.12

This is pair #4 for the 12 socks in 2012 group on Ravelry, and  J’s second pair for the year.  Hedgerow Socks is a free download from Knitter’s Review, a very straight forward ribbed stitch pattern that’s easy to memorize.  The ribbing gives plenty of stretch and the pattern travels down the back of the heel, which I like very much.  I’m especially fond of the rounded toe , first time for me.  Fits well with just enough wiggle room.  Stroll Fingering was nice to work with and made a very soft fabric.  I love the basalt heather color.  And since J has worn them several times already, I can tell you that they launder well.  The Hedgerow Socks are definitely winners!

I hope you’ll visit Tami’s FO Friday and take a look at all the pretty projects folks have finished this week too.

Socks # 5 — No Purl Monkeys — and #6 — Duckies — are on the needles, but not seeing much love right now.  I’ve been spending this week working on afghan squares.  J has a workshop tomorrow so I just might make a trip to a new yarn store that opened recently.  And I just might come home with some yarny goodness.  Just might     🙂

I appreciate your visits and comments so much.  Have a great Friday and enjoy your weekend!

  1. Those are SO so pretty–I’ll be adding that pattern to my to-do list!
I’m so glad to hear Stroll was nice to work with, as I’ve got a pair of gloves to make with it as my next project. 🙂
