WIP Wednesday

Today is March 14 (3.14).  π = 3.14 and much, much more.  Happy π Day!

Today is also Wednesday and time to check on sock progress.

I really liked this self-striping yarn and wanted something simple to punch up the stripes a bit.  Duckies is a simple four row repeat that seems to fit the yarn well.  This is my first time using 9″ circulars.  It’s taken a little time, but I’m getting used to them now.

The yarn for Elementary Watson Socks (for J) was wound this morning.  Not a very exciting picture, I know.  I was hoping to show you a start on the sock.  But the yarn went wonky on the winder and took a bit of time to sort out.  Then my toe-up cast on had to be restarted.  So . . . just a pic of gray yarn cakes.  I’m using Knit Picks Imagination for the first time.  So, so, soft and very subtle colors.

Be sure to visit Tami’s blog and see what other folks are doing.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Your visits and comments are very much appreciated!

  1. I love that sock yarn! I’ve seen it a couple of places and I always just love the colors so much. I really like the duckies pattern too, so they should be marvelous! 🙂

  2. Thanks for the Ducky link! Like your stripes and the grey. Now to check out the other pattern. BTW, have you read The Bee Keeper’s Apprentice?

  3. I’ve always wanted to try out the 9″ circulars for socks, but I’ve not tried them yet. I think they’d be fun once I got used to them? Gotta go check out the Elementary Dear Watson pattern. That yarn is so pretty.
