FO Friday ~ A Trio of Cloths

I’ve finished three more cloths for Knitabulls’ Dishcloth KAL, bringing my total to 5.  This has been a terrific cotton stash buster.  But to be honest, it’s hardly made a dent in the drawer of cotton yarn.  I’ve found some great patterns during this KAL.  And I see more cloths in my future.  They’re such a nice break from projects that require a lot of time and concentration.  It’s almost instant gratification.

Garterlac Dishcloth by Dave @ Criminy Jickets
Yarn:  Sugar ‘n Cream — country-side ombre
Needles: US 8/5 mm
CO 5.24.12, BO 5.28.12

My first attempt at entrelac. Restarted 3 times, but once I understood the construction it was smooth sailing. I have 4-5 skeins of this yarn purchased for a Haekelbeutel Bag that never happened. So glad I’ve found a way to show off the color combination that I liked so much.

Diagonal Knit Dishcloth by Jana Trent
Yarn:  Sugar ‘n Cream — barnboard twists
Needles:  US 6/4 mm
CO 5.29.12, BO 6.5.12

Love this variation on Grandma’s Favorite Dishcloth. The textured middle section doesn’t show well in the photo, probably because the twisted colors (red, tan, cream) are too busy. Still – a nice, big, soft cloth that matches the towels and shower curtain in the hall bathroom perfectly!

Double Bump Dishcloth by Missy Angus
Yarn:  Sugar ‘n Cream — cool breeze ombre
Needles: US 6/4 mm
CO 6.5.12, BO 6.6.12

Super easy and quick pattern! This may be my new favorite “go-to” cloth.  I love the clean, crisp colors and realized why just before finishing.  We’ve used similar paint colors for rooms in the house with white trim throughout.  I know what I like        🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Your visits and comments are always appreciated.  Enjoy your weekend!

  1. I have had that GarterLac cloth in my queue for the longest time I really need to make one. I need to try and make a dent in my cotton yarn stash. I have a huge cotton stash that spans a King sized bed in a bag bag.
