Weekend Treasure Hunting

J and I enjoy weekend treasure hunting.  There are several vendor malls and antique shows in our area.  It’s a nice way to spend a weekend morning or afternoon.  The great thing about these places is that inventory changes often.  Each time we visit, we discover new treasures.  And some of those treasures just have to come home with us.

The past two weekends, we’ve visited a local Peddler’s Mall.  It’s a huge, two-story building filled to the brim with antiques, vintage collectibles and flea market items.  Here are our recent finds.

The white tin box is not old at all, but the perfect size (and price) to store fabric or ribbon stash.  I haven’t quite decided which one.  I found another old spool, complete with fiber fuzz on the shaft, and two more pirns to add to my collection.  They’re perfect for winding handspun.  The button jar held some interesting wood and bone buttons.  And then there are the depression glass juicers.  How many juicers does a person need?  At least two     😉

What do you collect?  How do you display your collections?  Can you have too many or too much?  I’d love to hear what you think.

Your visits and comments are always appreciated.  Enjoy your week!

  1. What great finds! I love the antique juicers :). I collect pressed glass, vintage knitting items and books, which is great fun in finding new things to add to the collection.
