WIP Wednesday ~ Low Tide and a Sock

Happy Wednesday!

The Low Tide Cardigan has grown since last you saw it.  I’m knitting the body a little shorter than the pattern suggests and have only about 3.5 inches left to finish.  I started with 5 balls of yarn and added the 4th yesterday.  The pattern calls for cap sleeves and, if there’s enough yarn left, I’d like to lengthen those a bit.

The gray, loopy thing at the top is the beginning of a sock cuff.  I finished the first sock for T (Mr. Pitt’s Socks) on the 12th, started the second sock on the 16th, and haven’t touched it since.  It should get some attention this afternoon.

The Kindle says that I’ve read 88% of The Eyre Affair.  I lost interest a little in the middle of the book.  But now I’m anxious to see how everything works out.  If I concentrate I should be able to finish it this weekend.

Well, that’s it for me this Wednesday.  What’s on your needles or hooks?  If you’d like a little inspiration, be sure to visit Tami’s WiP Wednesday and Ginny’s Yarn Along.

    1. Thanks, Tina. Sometimes I feel as though the stockinette will never end. But it’s great for TV knitting right now.

  1. Fingers crossed you’ll have enough yarn left to knit the sleeves as you’re hoping. If I had to guess, based on what you have left, I’d say you’re in good shape.

    1. Hi Judy! I knit socks both ways, depending on what the pattern dictates. If I had to choose, I think I’d go with toe-up. It seems to knit faster for me. What do you like best?
