Weekend Craft Fair

Saturday morning, ~ J ~ and I headed to the Shakertown Craft Fair.  We left early hoping to beat some of the crowds and the heat.  It turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day, perfect craft fair weather.

The fair is held outside on the grounds of Pleasant Hill Shaker Village with vendors set up on both sides of the road through the middle of the village.  There was a bit of everything — wood, pottery, fiber arts, jewelry, botanicals, glass, mixed media, photography, food, music, demonstrations.  We walked the road twice, just to be sure not to miss anything.

This cute little pup was the ‘greeter’ for one of the pottery vendors.
craft fair felted animals
Dressed in recycled felted fabrics. Adorable!
wool fiber vendor
So many beautiful wools and fiber.
shetland wool roving
Loom Hall raises Shetland sheep.  This roving comes from one of their girls named Violet.  It is incredibly soft and just begged to come home with me.

This is always one of my favorite craft fairs because of the beautiful setting and the lovely arts and crafts.  We had such a nice day.

I hope you had a good weekend, too.

♥  Janet
