Friday . . . already? The sun is burning through a light fog this morning. There’s a definite chill in the air. The thermometer reads 40°. ~J~ moved the tea tree and some of the deck pots inside last night. And the heat just came on. 🙂 How is autumn treating you?

Two, count them — two, finished projects this week. This might be a first.
Jeck Socks by Regina Satta
Yarn :: Cascade Yarns Heritage Paints, sage honey colorway
Needles :: US 1 (2.25 mm)
I ♥LOVE♥ these socks so much. Jeck is a nice, simple pattern. The yarn is soft and cozy . And this sock fits better than any of my others. Modifications :: I used Kaity Fraker’s “No Wrap, No Gap Short Row Heel Tutorial”. I like the idea of no wraps, but I still got a few gaps with this heel. Probably knitter’s error. The heel does fit really well. I also used a rounded toe which fits me better.
AND
Bankhead Hat by Susie Gourlay
Yarn :: Red Heart Soft Yarn, mid blue colorway
Needle :: US 7 (4.5 mm)
This is the second hat finished for the Knitabulls October Hat KAL. I used a washable acrylic since this will go in the donation box. Bankhead is a very nice pattern. And lots of car knitting time made it a quick knit. I’ve started another hat and might be able to get it finished before the KAL ends this month.
Well, there you have it. Linking up with Tami’s FO Friday.

So I wrote this above early this morning, but didn’t get it finished in time to post before ~J~ and I headed to the Arboretum. It was a lovely morning and I took lots of photos with the phone camera. I’ll share soon.
Enjoy your weekend!
Your socks and hat are fantastic!

Lovely blue colors! I love sock knitting … I always always have a gusset hole, though. Can’t seem to get around that!

I like those socks! I just love a simple sock pattern with some variety. I have a few pairs to knit for Christmas and I think I might switch it up a bit with some patterns like this one.
