Happy Wednesday!
On the needles . . . a modified version of the Casu Cowl. The original pattern calls for a provisional cast on and grafted ends. I’m all about not seaming if I can find another way. So I’m following another Raveler’s directions for knitting the cowl in the round. I’ve had this Red Heart Boutique Midnight for a while (to be honest, I don’t even remember buying it), loved the colors and thought it would be a good match for the pattern. So far, I’m really pleased and it’s knitting up very quickly.
On the bookshelf . . . is How to Marry an English Lord by Gail MacColl Carol McD. Wallace. The book is about American heiresses who traded large dowries for British titles and was the inspiration for characters on Downton Abbey. It’s very interesting so far. I’m also finishing Hand Lettering by Marci Donley and DeAnn Singh. I’ve been interested in developing new lettering styles for journaling. When I’ve finished reading, I’ll start working in a practice journal and see how it goes.
So. How goes your Wednesday? I hope you’re staying safe and warm.

Hi, Karen. I love the autumn colors and there’s just a bit of sparkle in the yarn that the picture doesn’t show.

Your cowl looks great! I am totally into knitting in the round if it avoids me having to sew anything! I tell my friends that I’m “allergic” to sewing…

I have that same allergy 🙂

I started the eyelet pattern last night so it won’t be long until it’s finished. 🙂
