Weekend Report

Snow fell on and off all weekend.  We woke up to 2 additional inches this morning.  Everything is clean again and the sun is bright.  Birds of all types are flocking to the feeders.  ~J~ is a good provider of seed and suet.  We’ve had to keep a close eye on a couple of neighbor cats to make sure it’s a safe place for the birds.

We watched the Olympic Opening Ceremony Friday evening.  I decided to cast-on a Layer Cake Loop for the Ravellenic Cross Cowling Event.  I wanted to be able to watch the TV and I can’t do that as easily when I spin.  I finished the cowl on Sunday.  Here’s a peek.

Also on Friday night, I prepped my fiber for the Flying Camel Spin Event.  I split the fiber in half length-wise and then split each half into four strips.  Saturday morning, I was up early and spinning.  Here’s Saturday’s progress.

Sunday was more — Olympics, spinning, knitting — and a visit with Mom.

So . . . a very productive weekend for me.  How was your weekend?

  1. What pretty projects! I should have thought about making another cowl. I am sick of my one and only and it still is too cold here to ditch it. Dang old groundhog. Where’s my spring?

  2. I chose a project with lots of stockinette so I could watch TV all along. I love what you are spinning! I can’t wait to see how that turns out. I can’t wait to get back to some spinning after the Olympics are over.
