FO Friday ~ Trillian

Happy, happy Friday!  It’s sunny and mild this morning.  The deck door is open and the birds are singing.  Is there a better way to start the day?

Pattern  ::  Trillian by Matina Behm
Yarn  ::  Wolle’s Color Changing Cotton, Unique Rose
Needle  ::  US 3 (3.25 mm)

The lovely Trillian has been waiting since late June for her FO post.  I love everything about this scarf/shawl/wrap — the pattern (I’m a fan of Martina Behm’s designs and Trillian doesn’t disappoint) , the yarn (this is my fourth shawl using Wolle’s Cotton), the color transitions (rose to light tan to off-white).  The pattern calls for a garter stitch border, but I decided on stockinette.  When I came to the solid off-white, I added the border and then stopped.   . . . love, Love, LVE . . .

It’s warming up now and I’ve had to close the door.  I’m still enjoying the brilliant sunshine.
Enjoy your day and have a lovely weekend!

  1. Did you have to manipulate the yarn to get the colors to arrange like that or did they do it on their own?

  2. It looks beautiful! I bought yarn for a Trillian at Rhinebeck and still haven’t cast it on yet! Hopefully I’ll get to it this Fall. Martina has so many great patterns – I want to knit them all now!

  3. Lovely! Perfect for those chilly late summer nights. We’ve had the doors and windows open here more than we usually do in July and I’m not complaining. All in all this summer has been not too bad. I suppose it’s payback for the Polar Vortex.
