Happy Wednesday! Lots of project in progress this week, maybe too many, but all of them pretty satisfying.
On the needles . . . The cotton cardi is almost to the underarm separation. I really need to give this some extra attention, but I’m so easily distracted. And, of course, there has to be a pair of socks on the needles. It’s ~J’s~ turn for the next pair. This is the vanilla latte pattern in The Unplanned Peacock Twisty Sock. The colorway, called onyx, is black with shades of gray speckled throughout. So pretty and such a nice feel.
On the bookshelf . . . Still reading Ten Beach Road and enjoying the story and characters.
On the wheel . . . Just a tiny bit of Greenwood Fiberworks BFL/silk in Huckleberry Truffle on the bobbin. My default is to spin very, very thin yarn. The plan is to work on spinning a bit thicker and get closer to a true fingering-weight 2-ply. Progress will be slow and steady since there’s no deadline and I’m not in a big hurry.
In the journals . . . I’ve been experimenting with watercolors this week and enjoying every minute. That’ll be another post.
So . . . What projects are getting your attention this week?
♥ Janet
Wish I could spin such thin yarn! Love those colors!

Fabulous singles!
As for my projects….none to speak of. I’ve got the most terrible summer cold and I am enjoying laying on the couch, watching TCM all day and feeling sorry for myself.

It’s easy for projects to grow when the yarns are so soft. 🙂

What great colors on your wheel. Greenwood makes some beautiful fiber. Isn’t it hard to spin thicker? I find it a challenge lately.

Me too, Donna. I worked so hard at spinning thin singles. Now I wish that maybe I hadn’t work quite so hard. 🙂

I seem to have been un-knitting more than knitting…and browsing Ravelry for inspiration 😉

I’ve been spending some extra time on Ravelry too, looking for something new. Not sure why I think I NEED something new. 🙂

The cardi is coming along beautifully. It looks like something you’ll wear a lot.
Can’t wait to see your watercolors!

I had hopes of being able to wear the cardi this summer. Now I’m shooting for fall. 🙂
