Hooray for Friday!
First off, thank you for your kind comments on yesterday’s post. Art journaling is something I’ve really come to enjoy. I’ve been hesitant to share here since I have much to learn and improve. I really appreciate your encouragement.

Now to the FO Friday knitting . . .
Pattern :: Kudo Half Linen Stitch Cowl
Yarn :: Red Heart Boutique Treasure, abstract colorway
Needle :: US 10 (6 mm)
This was such a fun cowl to knit. The pattern is a free download on Ravelry and well worth a try. It’s almost as if this yarn was made for linen stitch. With only 30% wool, the edges curl slightly, but I’m sure a nice steam blocking will put that to right. A seed stitch border, rather than garter, might help also. I have a full skein left and found this fingerless mitt pattern to match the cowl. This will be a cute set for the Christmas box.

Enjoy your Friday and have a great weekend!

Wow – that is real pretty. I really thought that was hand spun at first. I will have to add that to the list of patterns to try, especially for Christmas.

I thought you did Tunisian Crochet for this cowl. The stitches look very similar to that technique.

Lovely! As soon as I read “Christmas Box” a penny dropped for me! I bet you have a big ol’ box that collects pretty knitted things all year so you’ve got a nice little gift stash at Christmas time! Brilliant!

The colours of that yarn are very pretty and work very well with the stitch of this cowl. Beautiful FO!

I love it! Those are my colors. I just discovered the half linen stitch myself when I needed a pattern of a hat I had to improvise.

Pretty! Linen stitch is interesting, isn’t it? Now I need to see what a half linen stitch looks like.
