FO Friday ~ Socktober Socks

Ò  Ó  Ò   Happy Halloween!  Ò  Ó  Ò

Hooray for Friday!  It’s been quite a week around here.  Busy, busy, busy.  And the weather — cool and sunny or cold and wet.  The leaves have changed quickly and made the most lovely carpet of color outside.  I love autumn!

Hooray for a Soctober finish!

Pattern  ::  My Own Take-Along Sock Pattern
Yarn  ::  Lang Yarns JaWoll Bambus, blue/gray/tan colorway
Needle  ::  US 1.5 (2.5 mm)

I’m calling this my Take-Along Sock pattern.  It’s a plain vanilla pattern over 60 sts, with a slight ankle shaping.  I have it memorized and it doesn’t take much concentration.  I can grab the bag and take it along when I need something to keep me busy.  This is my first time using the Lang yarn and I love it.  It has such a nice feel and just glides over the needles.  One small problem with this skein — two knots.  Keeping the color stripe match would have involved two joins in the foot of the sock.  Instead, I kept one join and gave up on matching the foot.  ~J~ loves the colors and the fit.

Enjoy your Friday and have a great weekend!

  1. They are awesome socks! Your sock pattern sounds very much like mine. 60 stitches around and just go from there. Don’t you just hate joins in yarn – especially sock yarn! Have a wonderful Halloween and a great weekend!
