WIP Wednesday

Happy Wednesday and Hello to April!

This is the half-way mark of ~J’s~ spring break.  We had a picnic breakfast at High Bridge this morning.  The photo is a bit misleading with all that sunshine.

It was cold and there was no knitting going on.  We were bundled up and still enjoyed the morning.

On the needles . . . The socks from last week are coming right along.  I’ve had a terrible case of “cast on and frog” this week.  The only thing surviving is this linen stitch cowl.  I’m using three leftover bits of Serenity sock yarn.  All three contain the same teal and purple colors and are mixed with everything from lime green to blue and gray.  I’m enjoying the linen stitch, watching the colors change and using up stash scraps, but not sure yet about the mix of colors.

Still reading . . . and enjoying A Red Herring Without Mustard by Alan Bradley.  Flavia is such a character.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

  1. beautiful linen stitch, I love how it looks and knits up but for me the knitting is forever with all of that slip stitching 🙂 Glad you had an outside meal while bundled up 🙂
