Weekend Snapshots

The last weekend in February.  Sunny and warmer.  Feels like spring is around the corner, I hope.

A red-bellied woodpecker complained there was no suet in the feeder.  He didn’t complain long . . .

a hawk (maybe a sharp-shinned hawk?) in the back tree scared all the birds away.

Last card for February in the Rolodex.

New coloring books from the bargain rack at the bookstore.  The 365 book has good designs and a positive/inspirational quote for each day of the year.

Crafty stash enhancement, Tim Holtz tissue paper and a blank journal.  I have a serious weakness for blank journals with pretty covers.

More crocuses blooming in the front border.

And yellow carnations to bring a little sunshine inside.

How was your weekend?

  1. We’ve had a fairly relaxing weekend after 10 days of busy vacationing. That red on the woodpecker sure stands out! We have crocuses and daffodils here, too, about a month early!

  2. Those are some great finds! Good coloring books are still very pricey in the craft stores or I’d have a pile.
My weekend was filled with baby snuggles and toddler hugs. Babysitting the grands is the best!
